Greetings! I continue to be pleased with the quality and diversity of amber you offer. Over the past few years, I have purchased fossiliferous amber from the following mines: La Cumbre, La Toca, Palo Alto, and La Bucara. While all pieces originating from each mine possess a certain variation of color, I have noticed that amber from La Bucara has displayed the greatest variation in colors. I have purchased 2 parcels in the past year (500+ pieces total) from this mine and have the opinion that its colors are of not only the greatest variation, but also the greatest beauty. The tones of reds, oranges, yellows, and even blues and greens encountered amongst the fossils make it truly spectacular. My question is this: Would there be any known reason for this occurrence or is it just due to the sampling of pieces I received from you? Would age of the fossils found in that area have any bearing? Perhaps there is no difference at all in the spectrum of colors originating from the four mines I mention above. Thank you for any insight you may have to offer.
Sincerely,
Vincent Calabrese
