I'll admit it...
This post is only marginally related to Blue Amber but still worth the effort.
One of the leading Blue Amber artists, our good friend Akira Obata (http://www.2plus1beadsweb.com), has been shaping and polishing Blue Amber to perfection for a few years now. His Collector's Items are much in demand, lately also outside of Japan. (click here to see his collection gallery on our site and be amazed.. http://www.ambarazul.com/exeb.php)
Turns out the art he manages to coax from Blue Amber, his son equals in music. The little nipper looks minuscule next to a grand piano and can't yet reach the pedals, but the way he knocks out Mozart's Sonata No.6 in C Major wouldn't even leave ol' Amadeus with a dry eye. See a video of a recent performance here http://www.2plus1beadsweb.com/movie/movie02/movie/Movie002.html. Here is the kid's site (in Japanese http://www.2plus1beadsweb.com/index_ks.html). He is working hard to get into the Julliard School, and might just have the stuff for it.
Thus far art as we know it. I have spoken my piece and will now climb back into my amber hole. Oh look, shiny blue!
Greetings to all you art-lovers out there...
